Daniel Yabsley

Daniel Yabsley

Having grown up on a small holding on the Channel Island of Guernsey, Daniel had always sought out ways to be in, and connect to, nature. This had lead to over 10 years of living in an off-grid treehouse on a biodynamic farm.

During this time he has completed a year round course in nature connection and survival living at Trackways and attended The Art of Mentoring for 3 consecutive years. He co-runs Cultivating Curiosity and has been facilitating weekly and monthly nature connection sessions for children since 2012. He also co-ran and facilitated Seeing Through Nature‘s Eye’s adult nature immersion course.

Daniel is dedicated to, and deeply nourished by, bringing this nature connection work to as many people as possible.

Susan Kelly

Susan Kelly

Susan Kelly is passionate about movement, games and the outdoors. Susan trained and worked as a state school PE teacher before becoming a games teacher in a Steiner Waldorf school. Susan loves adventure and learning and has undertaken courses with Bothmer Movement International, Tracker School, Trackways and the Helpers Mentoring Society. Susan is a facilitator of adult and teacher movement trainings that include giving insight to what games support different ages and stages of development in children. Susan currently teaches games and nature connection to home school groups and monthly mentoring groups and loves to share her knowledge and expertise with a wider audience.

Ross Torode

Ross Torode

From the island of Guernsey, never far from the sea or a new adventure, Ross developed great joy in exploring nature and sharing his experiences with others. First, he worked as an outdoor adventure instructor before going on to study for a degree in Primary Education. Whilst working with Cultivating Curiosity he was able to build deeply upon his knowledge and found one of his strengths: leading nature connection games.

Ross has now returned home to Guernsey to work in Tree Care and pursue his fascination for trees and all they bring to our ecosystem. Alongside building his knowledge on trees, planting balanced forests and woodworking, he is continuing nature connection work with both school and holiday groups.

Jason Eichner

Jason Eichner

Born in sunny Sussex, Jason Eichner has been passionate about mentoring and education all his life. As one of the founders of Red Squirrel Resources, Jason has worked behind the scenes running the technical side of things, maintaining the website, editing many of the videos, and generally pushing buttons until everything works again.

When he’s not at his desk working on Red Squirrel Resources or out filming the latest video, Jason can be found writing or wandering through forests.
